Norse Group has an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Consultant to join our HR team. This role is based in our new Head Office in Norwich.

This position is being offered on a full-time, permanent contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Alternative working patterns and hours of work would be considered for the right candidate.

 

The Role

 

As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will be working as part of a dynamic and effective team who deliver expert and person-centred employee relations advice, support, and guidance across the business.

The Norse Group offers a broad range of services, including facilities management, property services and specialist care facilities. This variety offers a great opportunity for someone looking to further develop their skills and expertise within a varied and diverse business.

 

The Role will require you to:

  • Manage complex cases, ensuring managers are supported with all aspects of employee relations, such as absence, capability, grievance, and disciplinary matters
  • Coach, guide and influence a range of stakeholders to get improved outcomes across the business
  • Work in line with agreed SLAs utilising a new case management system to deliver an excellent customer service
  • Monitor and review HR policies and practices to ensure they are in line with best practice and current legislation
  • Be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Therefore, in addition, the postholder will have the opportunity to contribute to key HR projects to improve employee relations across the business.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A demonstrable knowledge and application of employment procedure, practice and law in managing complex cases
  • An ability to work autonomously and proactively to manage case work and meet key SLA's
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships across all levels of the business
  • An ability to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to the wider aims and strategies
  • A Level 5 CIPD qualified or be part-qualified
  • An understanding of HR functions and system
  • A full UK Driving Licence, as this role will involve occasional travel
