We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Talent, Learning & Development Manager to join our Learning & Development team in Norwich on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Role:
You will be responsible for leading the identification and design of learning solutions, delivery of relevant business projects and management of our Learning Management System. You will develop, implement and manage a range of learning and development solutions to address training needs for the Norse Group including the delivery, commissioning, and accurate evaluation of development solutions to drive high performance. To support this you will work with business leaders to implement training matrices to support training need for the organisation.
You will also lead the Talent Management agenda, supporting leaders and managers to maximise potential and create development paths to support workforce planning. Ensuring the successful delivery of relevant Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Increasing awareness and understanding of the value and benefits of learning and development solutions including apprenticeships, work placements and professional qualifications by providing information, advice and guidance relevant to their requirements.
- Ensuring the effective delivery of learning and development interventions, evaluating their impact and ensuring this informs an approach of continuous improvement, development and feeds implementation of future solutions.
- Working in partnership with senior leaders and managers to carry out succession planning and talent management processes, identifying future successors to senior/business critical roles, using this information to formulate development, and career management strategies.
- Management of all associated systems to learning, development and training, ensuring that system build, maintenance and administration is carried out effectively and in a timely manner
- Providing weekly/monthly reports to demonstrate training performance against agreed KPI’s, including relevant finances and training statistics.
- Ensuring audit, compliance and quality systems are maintained relating to apprenticeships and work placement programmes including accurate record keeping.
- Overseeing the effectiveness of Apprenticeship & Graduate programmes including the selection and ongoing evaluation of high-quality training providers, the monitoring of student progress ensuring support and guidance is provided and the smooth transition of apprentices once completed into future roles.
Our Successful Candidate
We are looking for a proven L&D professional with demonstrable experience in scoping, developing and delivering high quality learning and development interventions. Alongside this, we are looking an enthusiastic, self-starter with a keen interest in supporting the growth of our employees and enabling the long term development of our teams. You will also need to display:
- Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and be working or prepared to work towards Chartered membership or equivalent or other professional L&D qualification.
- Experience implementing talent and performance management processes.
- Experience developing and delivering Graduate / Apprenticeship programmes.
- Ability to demonstrate Coaching/Consulting/Facilitation Skills.
- Excellent training design and delivery skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence for the travel requirement of the role.
