Stairlift Engineer - N-Able

£36,004.80** per annum**

Newport

40 hours per week

Part of The Norse Group, N-Able specialise in providing mobility equipment and assistive technology to customers and clients across the various regions of the UK. Our aim is to keep customers safe, happy and healthy in your own home for as long as possible.

Due to continued expansion, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Stairlift Engineer to join our team in Newport. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday).

The role:

As a Senior Engineer, you will be required to install stairlift equipment and adaptations across areas that N-Able offer installations and maintenance. This will involve surveying properties for install of new and second hand Stairlifts for Local Authorities and private customers quoting as per guidelines. Further duties include:

  • Demonstrating the operation and maintenance of the equipment to service users, relatives, or carers
  • Completing 6 monthly and annual servicing to manufactures specification for the N-Able Service in accordance with LOLER regulations
  • Working as part of a team to provide 24/7, 365 days cover for breakdowns and out of hours calls within areas covered by N-Able
  • Providing training to other engineers within team when necessary
  • Attending all training required to keep up to date with current legislation and manufacturers product changes
  • Providing cover for other areas of the business n-able operates (in low and high demand periods).

Our Successful candidate:

We are looking for an Engineer with experience within a similar role installing, maintaining & servicing equipment and adaptations. Alongside this, you will be required to display:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety
  • Knowledge of appropriate fitting methods for major adaptations (including Stairlifts and Through Floor Lifts)
  • Experience of working within residential Homes / care environment is desirable
  • Ability to demonstrate products / equipment to service users and carers and adapt to ensure understanding of product installed
  • Full UK Driving Licence to meet travel requirements for the role
