Senior Project Manager – South West Norse
£50,000 - £60,000 DoE
South West Norse is a specialist property and construction consultancy, providing expertise in architecture, surveying, engineering, and estates and asset management services to a range of public and private sector clients across the UK, with a focus on education, housing and commercial construction projects.
The new and exciting position of Senior Project Manager is now needed to ensure the smooth running of Devon County Councils involvement of the Southern Construction Framework (SCF). The SCF draws upon the knowledge and experience of local council partners to promote and provide a modern construction procurement vehicle for the South of England. The SCF have worked collaboratively on large scale projects such as the in the region, including; Critical Care Unit, Torbay Hospital, Dartington Primary School, and Nexus Aerospace Training and Production Facility, East Sussex.
The Role:
As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall delivery of large or complex projects, ensuring the project team continually follow the original design and maximise profitability of the overall programme. Within this, you will be expected to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and clients and focus the team on the quality, programme and cost of all projects. Through project delivery, you will take responsibility for project timescales, budgets and delivery against the initial brief, driving a team of specialist consultants whilst maintaining point of contact with the client.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring client requirements are met with regards to project design, overall programme and the construction or implementation of the project including change control
- Ensuring that detailed project and programme briefs, timetables and programmes are prepared and approved by the client and adhered to throughout the contract
- Monitoring and reviewing detailed project budgets and programmes ensuring clients are informed regularly of changes and the impact of those changes
- Ensuring that all client requirements are identified and agreed with the client
- Maintaining full communications with clients and multi-disciplinary teams via agreed protocols of reporting, meetings and workshops etc.
- Instigating and maintaining risk management protocols with clients, designers and contractors
Candidate Essentials:
We want you to bring your own unique mix of experience and qualifications to the role and see what you can do. Ideally, we are looking for:
- Professional membership of the Association of Project Management or can demonstrate significant relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related discipline
- Holds a current CSCS site card
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite
- Extensive experience of building works of all sizes
