Moves Team Operative

£26,062.40 

Norwich, County Hall

40 hours per week

Norse Group are currently looking for a Moves Team Operative to join our experienced team at County Hall, Norwich on a full time, permanent basis.

The role of the Moves Operative is to support the re-location / decommissioning of Norfolk County Council (NCC) sites with the transportation and delivery of commercial goods, to include large specialist projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the pick-up, transportation and delivery of commercial equipment

  • Undertaking all necessary moving and lifting requirements of the role, such as moving furniture, white goods and equipment ranging from small to large items, using assistive equipment as necessary

  • Arranging for detaching, packing and reinstalling of IT and other specialist office equipment

  • Responsible for IT cable management to connect workstations and workstation hardware installation

  • Carrying out minor building maintenance tasks as required

  • Ensuring correct use of PPE  and working safely at all times to protect equipment, staff and members of the public

  • Carrying vehicle checks daily and driving in a safe manner

Key knowledge experience required:

  • Full Driving Licence
  • Knowledge of how to use lifting equipment safely
  • Experience in a similar removal role preferred
  • Some level of maintenance skills eg use of hand/power tools
