Norse South East are currently recruiting for an Arborist Officer to join the team on a full time, permanent basis.

The role

Carrying out and responsible for a full arboriculture management and maintenance service for Havant Borough Council and other customers To ensure the safe, efficient and economical completion of works, whilst meeting stated quality and safety standards and achieving performance targets.to procure and manage all contracts and contractors engaged with the required works associated with this business area.

• *         Monitoring and management of over 300 sites.
• *         Carry out Health and Safety Inspections, prepare and manage the cyclical tree inspections on behalf of our partners HBC.
• *         Document inspection results, identify and manage subsequent contractor works, in line with Havant Borough Council’s Tree Management Course of Action Plan and BS3998 standards.
• *         Maintain records of programmed inspections that meet our Partner’s obligations under health and safety legislation and that accord with best practice.
• *         Ensure that all relevant legislation is adhered to and complied with.
• *         Address customer services enquiries relating to trees on HBC land for which our Partner is responsible.
• *         Work with and records.
• *         Arrange works resulting from insurance case to be undertaken by suitably qualified or skilled personnel as agreed with our Partners.

Our successful candidate 

• Experience in undertaking tree work in close proximity to the Highway & in confined locations. 

• Experience of working with the public.

• Two years’ experience in Arboriculture & in addition experience in working an urban environment.

• A recognised level 4 qualification (BTEC/C&G) in Arboriculture management, operations and practices. (or similar)

• Full UK driving lisence
