Location: Norse Group Head Office, Norwich

Salary:  £27,184.08 - £28,974.66 DoE

 

Norse Group is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a creative and highly motivated Video Editor to join our dynamic in-house brand, creative, and graphic design team. We are a forward-thinking company committed to delivering innovative solutions and outstanding content that resonates with our audience.

With a passion for storytelling, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and delivering high-quality, engaging video content for both internal and external projects. Your work will range from short-form social media content and animated explainer videos to internal brand awareness campaigns and customer and client stories.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Setup, shoot, edit and assemble recorded raw material into a polished final product, suitable for various platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with the brand, creative, and graphic design, corporate communications, and marketing teams to understand project requirements and deliver compelling and engaging video content.
  • Understand and execute different video styles and formats and target and tailor to different audience needs.
  • Work with motion graphics, music and sound effects to complement storytelling.
  • Ensure all video content aligns with Norse Group's brand guidelines and visual identity.
  • Incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine and perfect video outputs.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Participate in creative brainstorm sessions and provide input on video concepts for internal and external clients.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continually enhance video production processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in video editing, including client or agency side.
  • A showreel that demonstrates and highlights your creativity, videography and video editing skills, this is mandatory to be invited for interview.
  • You should have a passion for story telling via digital media and understand how video works across different platforms.
  • Proficient with a variety of cameras and using industry-standard video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is essential.
  • A Bachelor of Arts Degree in Film, Video Production, or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge in motion graphics, creating lower thirds, text animation top and tailing, overlay motion graphics using Adobe After Effects  or similar software is preferred.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio recording.
  • Knowledge in photography and photo editing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic graphic design digital and print fundamentals from creating page layouts and templating using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and PhotoShop is desired but not essential.
  • Understanding of video codec, colour correcting/grading, resolutions, and file formats.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work to find creative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
