Repairs Planner – Alliance Norse

Part Time (21 hours) - Wednesday / Thursday / Friday 

Alliance Norse presents our joint venture with High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, providing repair and maintenance services, caretaking and cleaning services, major investment projects, and offer an improved housing repairs service to clients over the districts.

We currently have an excellent new opportunity for a Repairs Planner to join our team in Buxton on a permanent, part-time basis working 21 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday).

The Role

Based in our Alliance Norse office, you will be responsible for providing a seamless service to ensure our property operation works are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored for trade persons and external contractors. This consumer facing role will require you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate appointments and scheduling resources ensuring that we are maximizing productivity while maintaining a high-quality service to all. Other duties will consist of:

  • Managing the schedule of the responsive and planned works service in accordance with agreed performance standards.
  • Perform to high customer service standards within the team to deliver timely and quality services to customers.
  • Reporting into the Senior Planner and work within the Planning team to provide an effective service and identify ways of improving service
  • Coordinating the successful completion of daily works orders in conjunction with all direct reports
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless appointment service is provided to customers, including liaising with members of the public in a professional manner.

  • General understanding of Call Centre systems and Microsoft applications
  • Experience of dealing with external and internal customers preferably within a social Housing environment
  • Knowledge of the risks and hazards associated with asbestos and working with asbestos containing materials (ACMs).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and demonstrate the ability to tailor response to suit the customer or situation
