Integration/Data Migrations Lead - 12month contract 

37 hours per week 

£60,000  

 

Norse Group have an exciting opportunity for Data Migrations Lead to join our specialist team based at our Head Office on Fifers Lane. 

This role is on an 12-month Fixed Term Contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 

The role is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part of supporting Project One in completing the data migration requirements of moving to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) from Dynamics Great Plains (GP) and other applications. 

 

The Role:

Project One has been established to achieve the transformation of the support services functions at Norse. The transformation has elements of technology, process, data, and people change. 

The primary project stage is complete and therefore we require a Data Migrations Lead, You'll be responsible for supporting the implementation of D365 F&O . As Data Migrations Lead, you will be reporting directly into the Technical Architect and supporting the wider Project One team with a number of technical duties. These will include; 

  • Working in collaboration with the Project One team to further develop and run the automated data migration framework within SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) 
  • Create automated cleansing and data consolidation routines within the SSIS framework 
  • Providing data quality reporting to the wider finance team to support them with manual data cleansing 
  • Creating data mapping templates that are embedded within the SSIS framework 
  • Support in creating the go live cut over strategy and detailed plan 
  • Maintaining the project plan for data migration, reporting progress on a weekly basis to the D365 Project Manager.  
  • Creating technical data migration reconciliation reports and processes 
  • Running the data migration process for all project phases including go live cut over 
  • Ensuring that the SSIS framework and reporting maintains data lineage and a clear audit trail back to source data 
  • Working with the wider Project and finance teams to continually refine the development of the SSIS framework based on feedback and project need  
  • Providing training and documentation on the data migration framework to the team ensuring effective knowledge transfer and audit compliance 

Our Successful Candidate: 

  • Experienced within SSIS 
  • Experience of multi entity ERP data migration projects preferably D365 F&O using the Data Management Framework (DMF)  
  • Experience of managing all aspects including project planning, data cleansing and data mapping of an ERP data migration project   
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science / information technology field 
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills    
  • Excellent commutation skills at all levels 
  • Full UK driving licence to meet travel requirements of the role
