Norse Infinity is an industry leader in compliance and maintenance services, providing dynamic solutions to accommodate the needs of our clients. We offer a range of property and management solutions, including mechanical/electrical installations and maintenance to asbestos and legionella services.
We are looking for a Compliance Officer to take the lead in ensuring that Norse Infinity complies with its outside regulatory requirements and internal policies. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our Infinity business, responsible for ensuring that Infinity complies with its external accreditations and the internal Norse Group polices, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
You will be the conduit between Infinity and the Norse Group SHEQ department and be responsible for compliance with corporate targets, professional standards, and guidance.
Duties will include:
- Identification of areas for improvement in H&S, Environmental and Quality management and working with managers to produce/implement corrective measures
- Consultation with other professionals on compliance matters to keep up to date and well informed on relevant laws and regulations.
- Investigation of irregularities and non-compliance issues, highlighting/escalating areas of concern and making suggestions on improvements to process, contributing to the
- Work with operational managers to ensure compliance with external accreditations such as ISO 17020, ISO 17025, BAFE, NICEIC, Gas Safe, MCS, UKATA, LCA, etc.
- Periodically conducting audits/spot checks across the business and review of the findings with Management
- Supporting Highways in the provision of bespoke scheme/tender H&S information
- Taking the lead on Risk and COSHH Assessments
- Various administrative duties (file creation and maintenance of ongoing administrative projects)
Requirements for the role:
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A driving licence and own transport
- A comprehensive knowledge of H&S principles, Environmental and Quality management systems
- NEBOSH and/or IOSH – would be advantageous
- A working knowledge of CDM (Construction, Design and Management) regulations 2015
- Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO9001:2015
