Cleaner/Caretaker - Darton Health Centre

10 hours per week

£12.02 Per hour

Barnsley Norse are currently recruiting for a Caretaker to work in Darton Health Centre. This position is being offered on a part time, permanent contract working 10 hours per week. Mon-Fri 2 hours a day 5pm-7pm.

The role

As the Caretaker & Cleaner, you will ensure that the facilities around the site is maintained to the highest of standards, providing a clean and safe environment for all on site. In addition to securing the site, you will be responsible for all day to day

 maintenance, ensuring its in a good state of repair and works are planned around its service users.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Litter picking, bin emptying, cleansing of the area, winter maintenance duties and driving vehicles
  • Be responsible for the general maintenance both internally and externally of the premises ensuring it is a safe environment for staff, service users and visitors
  • Liaise and collaborate with contractors and colleagues to ensure safe systems of working are adopted
  • Undertake minor repairs and maintenance to premises and equipment when required in line with Norse Health and Safety requirements
  • Carry out routine and non-routine (if applicable) cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning specification
  • Carry out safe method of manual handling and safe use of step ladders after undertaking specified training and development as required

Our successful candidate

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work within a team or on your own.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety.
