The Architectural Assistant Part II will be responsible for supporting the design team in the delivery of projects by undertaking a range of Architectural duties and ensure the effective and timely delivery.

 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Assist colleagues in the preparation of drawings and specifications and in undertaking surveys and preparing records of existing buildings and sites.
  • Carry out administrative tasks relevant to the production of architectural information such as reprographics, issue of drawings, filing.
  • Carry out allocated tasks competently and professionally within determined timescales, financial budgets and fee/cost targets.
  • Prepare clear and accurate contract documentation.
  • Adhere to agreed Practice procedures, technical standards and Standing Orders.
  • Liaise in a clear, positive and effective manner with colleagues and clients.
  • Promote client relationships to develop the client base.
  • Deal with client queries and resolve resolutions with minimal direction.
  • Responsible for identifying new business opportunities.
  • Fee earning at 90%, and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives and targets.
  • This role requires frequent travel to other offices and sites as required.
  • Carry out duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
  • Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.
  • Demonstrate personal commitment to the Norse Way CSR strategy.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar or related role
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
  • Familiar with relevant construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards associated with asbestos
  • Completion of RIBA part 1 and part 2, and working towards part 3
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an Architectural related discipline
  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
  • Revit / BIM – Desirable
  • Professional membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects – Desirable
